Purple love

Generally speaking, I like all the colors. I enjoy seeing them around whether in nature or encorporated in some artworks. But on my persona and in my small world I avoid bright colors and earth tones, they just don't fit me. Not because I'm an introvert asocial type, quite the opposite in fact. I'm simply drawn towards very specific colors, and they're mostly somewhat dark and gloomy.

Since I can remember, I've always felt a strong affinity with the color purple. As a kid already I started to collect purple colored clothes, stationery, accessories etc. and this attraction only got worse with as time passed.

When I faced the task to choose the last name for my character in a videogame - which is one of the most difficult things in this world and I can spend hours on it, because it needs to be perfect! - I immediately thought of using the purple color but it didnt really fit... I tried different variations without success. Thats when indigo blasted through my mind.

"Indigo is a deep color close to the color wheel blue (a primary color in the RGB color space), as well as to some variants of ultramarine, based on the ancient dye of the same name. The word "indigo" comes from the Latin for Indian as the dye was originally exported to Europe from India.

It is traditionally regarded as a color in the visible spectrum, as well as one of the seven colors of the rainbow: the color between blue and violet; however, sources differ as to its actual position in the electromagnetic spectrum.

The first known recorded use of indigo as a color name in English was in 1289."

I was suprised to learn how it's actually one of the colors of the rainbow, usually mistaken with blue. To be fair I prefer warmer tones of purple, but indigo pleased me quite a lot nontheless and I've kept it since then.
